In Our Christian Walk, We Can Prevail With Power!
Throughout our Christian walk, we may face many challenges. In fact, the bible tell us that we will face them (John 16:33). However, that does not mean that we are powerless and unable to prevailer against those challenges.
The power series is geared towards highlighting the fact that we have God given abilities that will enable us to overcome each challenge that we face and be the victor. In just a few verses, we can get a glimpse into the power that we can tap into to help us to tilt any situation into our favor.
Ephesians 1:19-21 (KJV) - "And what is the exceeding greatness of his power ("dunamis") to us-ward who believe, according to the working ("energeia") of his mighty ("ischus") power ("kratos"), 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power ("exousia"), and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:"
Dunamis (doo'-nam-is) – miraculous power; might; strength;
Ischus (is-khoos') – strength (absolutely), power, might, force, ability;
Energeia (en-erg'-i-ah) – divine energy, operation, strength, effectual working;
Kratos (krat'-os) – dominion, strength, power; a mighty deed.
Exousia (ex-oo-see'-ah) – authority; liberty; power.
Second Corinthians 9:8 (AMP) reminds us of God's heart for our lives: "And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]."
